A free performance called “Time Stands Still” will be held on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. at Wor-Wic Community College. Written by Donald Margulies, the play is about changing relationships and developing social issues. It focuses on the lives of a couple dealing with a physical disability and post-traumatic stress disorder. This event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s counseling office and cultural diversity committee. The Eastern Shore’s largest bingo cash prize event, returns to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Saturday, September 13. Doors open at 5 p.m. for early bird games and regular games begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission to Bingomania includes all regular and special games, including the Jumbo Jackpot Game. Regular game payouts are $500 while special games will pay out $1000. The Jumbo Jackpot Game pays a maximum of $10,000 depending upon attendance.
You can increase your chances of winning and help a local food bank at the same time by bringing three non-perishable food items to the game. Those that do will receive three additional cards for the first early bird game.
Tickets are $45 per person in advance and $55 per person at the door, additional fees may apply. All proceeds benefit the Mardela Middle and High School Bands. For more information contact the Mardela Band-Aides at 410-677-5170.
The 2014 Historic Georgetown Art Crawl :
will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 10:00 am -4:00 pm in downtown Georgetown. This is a rain or shine juried art event, and will feature artists & artisans, and area art leagues & art guilds from throughout our region.
If you are interested in participating in this exciting arts program, you will find the 2014 Georgetown Art Crawl application with this year’s Rules & Regulations at https://www.georgetowncoc.com/event/community-events/historic-georgetown-art-crawl. The deadline for application to this event is August 1, 2014.
Georgetown’s inaugural Art Crawl was a great success last year, with over 40 participating artists, and many more can be accommodated and are expected this year. A small fee will be charged for individual 10x10 artists’ vendor space, but arts organizations distributing general information can set-up free. The Historic Georgetown Art Crawl will be held in conjunction with the Annual Farmer & Foodie Festival on The Circle, which celebrates our local farmers and their farm fresh foods. Proceeds from the Georgetown Art Crawl will benefit local arts programming and arts education.

15th Annual Soles For Seniors Walk On /MAC:
MAC Hosts 15th Annual Soles For Seniors Walk On September 17. MAC Inc., Area Agency on Aging, will host its 15th annual “Soles For Seniors” fundraiser at the Centre At Salisbury.
This year’s special attraction features local singers/musicians the “Jones Boys Duo” as the “After Party” entertainment. Mike Lichniak, Meteorologist from WBOC-TV will serve as the event’s Honorary Chairman and will be on site for the event.
Advance Registration is $25.00 per person or a team of four walkers for $95. This includes a commemorative T-shirt. Registration the day of the event is $30 per person. Check-in for the one-mile walk is 9:30 a.m. at the Mall’s Food Court. Vendors will be stationed near Dicks’ Sporting Goods from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.; the walk takes place from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.; the “After Party” kicks off at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Funds raised support MAC’s Senior Emergency Fund, helping seniors with the high cost of hearing aids, dentures and glasses - items not normally covered by insurance.
