The Ocean to Bay Bike Tour/Register now:
Registration is now open for this year's April 21st event. In December, the 2011 tour was honored by Southern Delaware Tourism with their "Annual Recognition Award." That particular event sold out for the first time in 22 years with a record-breaking 1200 cyclists. It is given for "outstanding and significant contribution" to enrich tourism in Sussex County.

Free Tax Prep/SHORE-UP:
Need help with your taxes but can’t afford to pay for it? SHORE UP! Inc., a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, offers free preparation of both state and federal income tax returns and free electronic filing for families and individuals making under $50,000/yr. Taxes are done by appointment only, Jan. 21-April 11, at both Wicomico and Somerset County sites. To make an appointment for free tax preparation and e-filing, and to find out what to bring, call 410-749-1142 weekdays.

Crisis House located at 110 N. Raildroad Ave. Georgetown, DE. The Crisis House is a 30 day emergency homeless shelter need of twin size metal framed beds, we do not need the mattresses though. we need 14 single beds and 2 bunk beds. We are asking that if there is anyway you could let the public know about this need we would be extremely greatful. The Program Director is Michele Stewart and the phone number is #302-856-2246. Like all shelters we are always in need of food donations as well, but at this time we are in most need of these beds.
